Set an iron on medium heat or on the steam setting. For deeper dents lay a moist hand towel over the dent.

Next fill the dent with ice cubes and let the cubes sit for at least 4 hours. Place a damp cloth over the indentation. Place a damp dish towel or cloth directly over the dent. Instead use that towel to eliminate those pesky carpet dents altogether.

Remove the cloth and use a spoon to fluff up the carpet. Apply a hot clothes iron to the cloth. To remove furniture dents from carpet made of synthetic fibers start by placing a towel rag or other absorbent material under the carpet where the dent is to protect the floor underneath. Leave the towel on the divot and remove when dry.

Finally vacuum over the affected carpet area so the fibers are sucked to maximum height.
